Barre star of the month: Samantha

How do you feel your body has changed from Barre classes?
Well I didn’t think that I would like barre as much as I do, but this is proof that when you decide to try something new and you keep an open mind great things can happen.

I went from daily yoga, kettle bell workouts and running up to 6 miles 5 days a week to predictably getting injured and not being able to do much of anything. I also ride and train horses as hobby.  Over last winter I lost a ton of flexibility and strength and getting back in the saddle was very difficult.
I took ballet in college mostly for fun and for the exercise, and I loved it. My body has responded in awesome ways to the barre centric workouts. I feel stronger, and my flexibility is back. My legs, arms, back, and core have all started to really tone up and re shape. I feel more confident and I dont feel like I’m killing myself every day.  J get better results from these classes than I have from any other workout I’ve tried.

What is your favorite part of coming to Barre Centric classes?
I love coming to barre because it’s such an inviting and non judgmental space. There are people from all age groups, and I love the challenge of the workout.

Advice for anyone who is thinking about trying his or her first barre class?
My advice is do it! Absolutely! It’s hard and you’ll work. It’s so worth it! Don’t be discouraged if you need to rest or feel like you aren’t doing some of the moves correctly, you’ll get stronger.
